We put a new roof on our house this summer. The old roof was only 9 years old, yet was leaking. We thought it wasn't vented properly so we fixed the roof, added sofit and vents, and thought the problem was solved.
Fast forward to cold temperatures. We turn the furnace on. Dustin notices ice on the furnace exhaust pipe on the roof. Ruh-roh. Dustin climbs up in the attic to see what the problem was. Dun-dun-dun. The furnace is venting into the attic!!! Turns out all along the furnace was the problem. So, now we're scrambling to fix the problem so we don't have to re-do the roof again.
We decide to convert to all electric. Electric furnace, electric water heater, electric dryer. This will solve our venting problem, hopefully save us some money in the long run, and we can stop worrying about carbon monoxide.
Today is install day. The furnace is going in this morning, the dryer this afternoon, and the water heater today or tomorrow. Whew. What a fun thing to be doing three days before Christmas!
Wait. What? Three days! That's all that we have left? I'm so excited! Presents aren't wrapped yet, but that shouldn't take to long. They are all organized and ready. I'm going to try to get them done on my lunch hour today and tomorrow. Then, the only thing I have left to do is make reindeer food. I actually feel prepared this year!
Merry Christmas!!!

Joe Toots McGee
Meet our elf on a shelf...Joe Toots McGee!
Karson named him Joe. Dustin and I thought that was boring, so we talked him into a middle and last name. He picked them out we just gave suggestions.
Elves can be naughty little creatures. We found Joe in the fridge yesterday. Nobody knows where he'll show up each morning, but that's half the fun. In the future, I believe Joe will have a marshmallow fight with the toys, pee (green) in the toilet, and dye the milk green.
I think it's hilarious that all I have to do is say, "Joe's watching you" or "Do you think Joe likes that attitude?" and Karson will look at Joe and then behave.
Kamden is my daredevil child. I keep finding him on this table in the toy room (Karson jumped on the table when he realized I was taking a picture).
Then we got to go see Santa again. The boys are still not so sure about him.

I think Kamden is trying to get toys off the shelf, then realizes he can't get down, so he just stands there until I come rescue him.
The boys have been playing together a little more. Karson still doesn't like to share "his" toys, but they like to sit by each other.
Breaden got to come over on Saturday. Woo-Hoo.
Then we got to go see Santa again. The boys are still not so sure about him.
Maybe I'll do an actual post soon...

My kids don't play...
They destroy! This is what the toy room looked like Monday night.
I busted Kamden in the pantry. He's learning naughty tricks from his brother.
Karson had to come join the party in the kitchen.
Kamden is such a goon. He had M&M's all over and everytime I tried to take a pic he made this face.
This Santa was not good with kids. He held Karson like this while he talked to him. Awkward...
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We sure did.
The Christmas decorations are up. Most of the Christmas presents are bought. Life is good.
