Myringotomies, yes that is the technical term for ear tubes. When we got the information sheet on the procedure Dustin kept saying my-ring-o-tone-ies (my ring tones) jokingly.
As you may have guessed, Kamden got tubes today. We hit the ground running bright and early.
4:00 am - Got up, took a shower, rounded every body's things up.
4:50 am - Got the boys up and put in the van.
5:00 am - Dropped Karson off at daycare.
6:00 am - Arrived at hospital.
7:10 am - Kamden was in surgery.
7:20 am - Kamden was out of surgery and in recovery. Went and got a glass of hot chocolate and was being paged to go talk to the Doctor, I hadn't even sat down in the waiting room yet.
7:35 am - Kamden was out of recovery and back in the room. He cried a little, but not much.
8:00 am - Kamden was running laps in the halls. In the room, around the curtain, down the hall, and back again.
8:30 am - Start the check-out process.
8:40 am - In the van and on the road.
8:50 am - Kamden was doing so well we decided to stop at Lowe's for a couple of things.
9:30 am - Breakfast at McDonald's because we were starving.
10:30 am - Pick Karson up from daycare.
10:35 am - Back home. Business as usual. Dustin goes to work and I get the kids settled in.
Dustin was amazed at how much you can get done before 10:00 am when you get up at 4:00.
Kamden did really well. He was back to his normal self within a half an hour, which is awesome. I'm so glad we decided to get tubes. He's always been a happy kid and you could never tell when he had an ear infection, but I can already tell he fells better.
